The Zeller Coaching Philosophy

All of our coaching packages function on the assumption that with the proper motivation, you can find a successful organizational strategy. If you find a great strategy, you can commit yourself to making it a habit. If you can be accountable and make a habit of your strategy over a period of time, it will become easier to discipline yourself going forward. This growth will lead to new opportunities.

These carefully designed packages are rooted in goal setting, time management planning, accountability, and reflection.

Finding your Real Reason for Performing in School

Without determining your true motivation as a student, you are lost! You can’t just repeat the same old mantras that got your parents, teachers and other adults off your back all these years. Success in college requires a strong understanding of why you are there. In our first session, I will dig for an enhanced understanding of what drives you.

Finding a Realistic Goal

Once we know what drives you to success, we will set a grade goal for the upcoming/current semester. The grade goal needs to be realistic and reflect incremental progress.

Finding Strengths and Areas of Opportunity

We will explore past performance, identifying your strengths and areas of opportunity to inform our planning session.

Developing Strong Time Management Skills

Through exploration, we will determine how many weekly hours you need to handle any challenge in college. Then, we will determine how you will find those hours given the constraints of your busy schedule, setting you up to complete your work a minimum of two days prior to each due date. When you complete your work early, you are allowing for life’s complexities to happen without ruining your semester. You also create space for the other important aspects of your life.

Becoming Accountable

Once you have a plan in place, we set weekly follow up appointments. Each day that you are scheduled to work on school, you will log your time and email it your coach. When we get back together, we will analyze patterns and make small alternations to address what we have learned. In the end, we will analyze the overall success of the plan, your actions and reflect on next steps.

Finding a Reason to Work Hard

Once we have a solid plan in place, we will reflect on why it is important that you discipline yourself over the next month while we are working together. We will visualize what you can accomplish if you can make good on your time management goals.
